Lokus admired the objects in silent wonder, staring at them until a stinging pain in his eyes forced him to look away. He had never seen such things before.

"Wait, you can't see out of that thing at all?" Endalia asked him. "Why the hell do you wear it all the time, then?"

"It expands the range of my Domain," Lokus replied. He rubbed his closed eyelids with the back of his mask-holding hand in an attempt to be rid of the burning underneath, but it was futile. "Plus, it's how I talk to Ibmund."

"Who-mund?"

"Ibmund. It's-it's one of my Egones. Agh, this hurts."

"It's your own fault for looking directly at the bulb," chuckled Endalia. "Now, what's this about an Ibmund? I thought you only had the staff and that weird amulet."

"I have three. Ibmund, in the mask; Cycle, in the amulet; and Dirge, in the staff. Ibmund was actually my first Egone."

"…You named your staff Dirge?"

Lokus shrugged. "Seemed appropriate."
