Creating some distance between himself and the skeleton, the two entered a silent staring contest in the dark as the madam stood blindly in the back.

This was the fourth skeleton they had run into after leaving the zombie behind. The last three had been solitary as well, but each had scored more than their fair share of marks on Ullen's body. By now, his chest and limbs were riddled with bleeding scratches and darkened splotches where bone had cut and pounded away.
