"Mr. Maximus, what you are doing is truly shameful!" Katherine didn't dare to raise her voice as the man effortlessly took her to the terrace without sparing her a glance, his eyes serious and void of emotions, making it hard for her to understand what was going on inside his head.

After they reached the terrace, Maximus, who had already informed the guards to leave their posts, placed the girl on the chair, ready for her outburst.

However, she just looked at him with a wronged expression and a frown etched on her face clearly showing her displeasure.

"Don't scowl. You will grow wrinkles sooner like this," Maximus commented.

'Wrinkles? She was only eighteen years old! Was he saying she was looking old just because she chose to dress in one of Delilah's old clothes as she couldn't find anything fitting to her taste?' Katherine wondered.
