章節 27: Cave 2

The atmosphere completely shifted once they went through the opening. The atmosphere and the ground was was completely hot . The blue like crystals were no where to be seen but the cave nonetheless was still brightly illuminated by the lava below that heated the ground.

Luckily the lava was in the furthest zones of the 400 metre cubic place . To the group direct view slept a dragon . It was 9 metres tall , was completely red and one of its horn was cut off.

The dragon snored loudly slightly shaking the area. Every time it breathed out , a small stream of fire escaped its mouth. The aura it exuded was that of a mid level grandmaster.

This gave the group an advantage due to Gena . Her aura might have diminished to Master level but her body had been constantly nourished by peak saint level energy. Mages of that caliber had the body of peak grandmasters.

However a dragon wasn't easy to kill . Those tricky bastards had tough scales that were hard even for a saint level martial master to penetrate through.

' This battle is going to be tough especially since no one here is a martial master ' She thought.

She turned her gaze to Priscilla .

" Protect my niece " She said before summoning her golden spear. The spear's magical runes flickered before completely inactivating.

The sleeping dragon felt a murderous intent directed towards it and it slowly stirred awake . Its bright golden eyes stared at a woman rushing at it.

It erected itself with arrogance before inhaling the surrounding air. Its chest glowed yellow before it spewed fire at where Gena was coming from.

Gena nimbly dodged it and threw the spear to the dragon's eye.

SWISH!!

The spear penetrated one of the dragon's eyes . It howled in pain as it stopped spewing fire and used one of its limbs to try and remove it.

Gena did not let it remove the spear . With a sudden burst of speed she approached the beast and jumped to deliver a kick to the spear to let it further enter it. However the dragon perceived this and used its large and powerful tail to whip her .

Gena's battle instincts kicked in and she summoned her shield to block it . She was successful however the force behind the attack threw her sideways and she smashed to the wall of the cave. A small web like crack was formed . She had narrowly dodged the lava that was flowing 3 meters beside her. Below her was a sea of lava ready to devour her

The dragon successfully removed the spear and glared at Gena . Its chest once again heated up however this time it glowed blue . It spewed up flames thrice as hot to where Gena had crashed to.

It concluded that she could not dodge this . But then a silhouette jumped from the cracked crevice to another wall and used the momentum to jump to one of the other dragon's eye.

She desummoned her shield and summoned her back up spear.

She threw it to the dragon's only seeing eye.

SWISH!!

Once again it penetrated its eye. The bright golden eyes slowly turned blood red . It screamed in pain and horror thrashing violently everywhere hoping to hit Gena .

She on the other hand landed safely and took the spear that the dragon had removed. The dragon heard her land and used the general direction to try and spew fire.

It opened it's mouth as its chest glowed blue . Gena saw an opportunity and rushed towards it . She thrust the spear from its mouth straight to its brain however the spear was shallow . She tried to remove it but it was stuck .

The dragon bared the pain and spewed fire but Gena jumped on top of it and hit the dragon's head.

It fell down and once its mouth hit the ground , it was forced to close it by gravity and the spear did its magic an fully penetrated through it .

Gena gracefully landed on top of it and forced the spear that penetrated the dragon's brain out. Blood spurted on her dying her costume but she didn't mind.

She then jumped back to the ground and pulled the other spear stuck on it's eye out .

Mia who saw all of this internally praised her battle prowess. Despite being a mage she maneuvered like martial artist veteran . She however couldn't show this as she hadn't forgiven her .

Priscilla too was surprised . Her speed and physique subconsciously reminded her of her dead husband which made her mood even worse than it is. She however hid it under that expressionless face that was becoming her norm.

Suddenly a large holographic image appeared and the same mysterious being was shown.

" Oh my ... Seems like my own pet never stood a chance. " She said.

She then seemed to shrug her shoulders.

" No matter . You will all advance to my beautiful garden full of life and wonders. But beware the life in there can easily rip you apart if you do not watch yourself. " She hinted.

" Anyway , you guys better get going before this zone gets refreshed. " She said and immediately then the stone walls behind the dragon corpse divided themselves leaving a path.

The lava after sensing this became more active. It started rising and occasionally some lava would jump to the ground and scorch it.

Mia let a small yelp and rushed to the new zone. Gena rushed to take Cole's body before following her.

Priscilla was the last . Her eyes wandering on the lava , her thoughts making a difficult decision. She however got out of her stupor and quickly hurried to them.

A complete change of scenery occurred in the second area.

A bright white light that seemed to serve as the sun was found at around 20 kilometers high . A mystical like forest of with grand trees and plant kings could be found all over thriving in harmony . The trees themselves let out a faint glow and a beautiful scent . The land spanned over 50 kilometre radius showing how powerful the being was to compress such a huge space to such a small cave.

The air itself was so pure and rich with mana that the mages felt all of their tense muscles relax and depressed thoughts escape them. It felt like home.

However that kind of atmosphere also breeds strong and powerful beasts .

The group saw from a far an ape type beast glare from a far with red eyes. The beast exuded the aura of a beast tyrant . This was comparable to peak saint stage level .

" Lady Luck really wants to fuck us "
