The door swung open, revealing a tense and disheveled Javier. His eyes were dark with fury, and he pushed past Ezra into the house. Helen stood up from the couch, her face draining of color as she met Javier's gaze.
"Javier, this is the first time you've ever come to my home," she stammered, trying to calm herself. "To what do I owe this visit?"
Javier approached her, walking past her dismissively. "You're a famous actress; this house seems too small for you. Should I get you a house?"
Helen's heart finally calms down. Maybe it wasn't what she thought. He was probably there because he wanted her to protect him.
She linked her hands with him. "If you buy a house for me, that would be great."
Javier glared at her, and she quickly removed her hand from his arm. "Tell him to leave," he ordered.
"Oh, okay," she replied hastily.
She turned to Ezra. "You can leave now and come to work tomorrow. Make sure to be early."
