Elma's POV:

I got changed inside my car after I arrived at the venue for the auction. I walked down the car and strengthened my gown.

Then I spotted Jacob's car. Sarah walked down, and Jacob drove away. She stared at me, and I tightened my fist. "Does she now hate me?"

She is one of the people I know who doesn't do things for me because they pity me but because they care, but I messed up and caused her pain.

I smiled at her and expected that she would walk away, but she was walking towards me.

"Elma, let's go in," she said, and I got confused. Why was she talking to me?

"Did you suddenly forgive me?"

"No, but we are family. Are we going to act like enemies?"

She made a point; I couldn't treat her like my enemy because we were family.

We both walked to the entrance, and it was flooded with paparazzi's "Miss Tyler." They called, and I wondered who exactly they were calling.

Oh, that was me; Sarah was now Mrs. Martinez.
