I felt a gentle touch on my face as I slowly opened my eyes. Lexi was looking at me, and I sat up, taking in my surroundings. It was already nighttime.

"Lexi, why are you sitting here? Aren't you tired?" I asked.

He smiled and moved closer, placing his hand on my waist to help me sit up straight. "My wife is not well, so why would I fall asleep? If you need help, how can I assist you while sleeping?"

I didn't say anything as I looked around the room and spotted a covered plate. I looked at Lexi and asked, "Is that food?"

He walked over to the plate, opened it, and brought it over to me. It contained a delicious dish. "Yes, your crush mom bought it for you, but since you were fast asleep, they didn't want to disturb you, so they left."

I looked at him when he referred to John as my crush. Was he jealous? "Lexi, John is not my crush, he's just a friend, okay?"
