章節 161: Impulsive Courage

Chen Ru's plan was simple: he would dawdle here for as long as he could. 

He had left a message for Song Zhuyu, and when the man realized that he hadn't returned after so long, he would definitely come here. By then, Chen Ru would tell him everything and… and Father Song would surely devise a plan to deal with them all!

And so, for more than an hour, Chen Ru continued to squat there, pretending to fix the unsalvageable signal tower. He spent most of his time in a daze, replaying his slip-up again and again, regretting how stupid he was, and then he would curse the villagers, especially that hateful Ma Xuemin, consumed by utter fury and helplessness. The cycle repeated endlessly as he waited for Song Zhuyu's arrival.
