"Now I will explain the first level." Professor Hartley adjusted his glasses as he spoke. "The mortal conduit level."

The man walked around the class as he spoke in a leveled tone.

"At the mortal conduit level, the genes completes its mutation to grant access to mana the moment you turn sixteen." He explained. "Every gene is unique and thus has a different reaction to mana and that's why different abilities are awakened."

Professor Hartley left the class silent and pondering on his last words while he made his way up the podium. His gaze washed through the class and he could still see a few confused.

"But this is also the reason why families with strong genes possess similar or identical abilities." He said with a smile. "Let me explain."
