Sophia's mother scanned Eunice briefly and glanced at Sophia, then clicked her tongue and voiced in a low tone: 

"Get in!"

Sophia promptly obeyed, passing behind her mother and entering the door of the old-looking bungalow house.

Lenny and Eunice had taken a few steps forward and now stood a few meters away from Sophia's mother.

"I'm Eunice Gilstein." Eunice introduced herself, extending her hand out for a handshake.

However, Sophia's mother scanned Eunice with an unfriendly gaze.

Reluctantly, she reciprocated the gesture and nonchalantly replied, "Margaret."

Folding her arms and resting on her door frame, she snuck glances at Lenny, who wore a light smile and maintained eye contact.

Eunice promptly spoke, "We followed Sophia because—"

"Wait." Sophia's mother stopped her and pointed at Lenny. "You didn't introduce yourself."
