"What happens if I don't comply?" The Behest Courier's smile grew darker as the menacing energy emanating from his face intensified, sending a weird feeling of submission through everyone in the white palace.

Lucas smiled too. "Don't let me repeat myself." he warned, his face fearless, his cold eyes speaking worse than his words did.

The Behest Courier smiled even darker, then he grinned brightly, then he chuckled, then he giggled, then he slowly laughed, then he laughed hard like he was out of his mind. The continuous laughter sent fine chills to the spines of those listening to him, including Max but except Lucas.

When he was done laughing, he shook his head to express his amusement. Peacefully, he gave Lucas the chance to stand behind the podium.
