"If you are here to change my decision, you're wasting your time. My decision is final whether you like it or not."

"That's not why I am here," Emma claimed. "I just want to know why... why you hate Allen so much that you wouldn't even care about my happiness."

Christoph, hearing his daughter's words, could only sigh. Given the ultimatum he had been given, he didn't have much choice in the matter. "I just don't want you around him. Being with this... Allen would be bad for the family and would raise suspicions."

"That's the thing, Dad. What you're saying doesn't make sense. How would it be bad for the family?" She inquired, unable to see the reason for their separation.

"You wouldn't understand! Now end of discussion." He addressed aloud, his voice heard by his wife, who came in at that moment.
