'I don't wanna leave ah.'

Refraining from sighing out loud, Calix quietly looked at the lady sleeping by his side. Still deep in slumber, Leslie's figure was softly illuminated by the orange glow of the underbed lights.

Calix had just woken up. The wall clock pointed to a quarter to five in the morning, fifteen minutes before the alarm should ring. The hours of his leaving drew closer.

Instead of continuing to sleep, Calix simply lay on the bed with Leslie in his arms. He wished to cherish the last minutes he had with her even though she was still in her slumber.

'Will you miss me when I'm away?'

Curling his lips into a smile, Calix inwardly laughed at himself for thinking of such a question. One thing was for sure, he would deeply miss her. Of course, this included their adorable little princess.
