章節 11: Chapter 11 : Elders of Aburame Clan

Maki was led away by three individuals, her gaze fixed on the direction of the clan's headquarters. The trio walked ahead, Maki following closely in silence, adhering to the typical Aburame clan style.

Despite her confusion, Mushihime couldn't help but notice the striking black and purple Warring States warrior armor worn by the old man. It had an appealing appearance, though it seemed cumbersome.

Observing Maki's frequent glances, old man Hiyou broke the silence. "Mushihime."

"Yes," Maki responded.

"Like it?"

"A little bit," Maki replied, uncertain about the intention behind the question.

"Don't worry, It will be yours after I die. It won't be more than a few years."

Maki was taken aback, unsure of how to respond. "Then go ahead," she retorted coldly.

"Hahahahahaha! She is indeed my granddaughter," the old man chuckled, pleased with Maki's spirited response. "You have energy! The little ones in the family are all too honest, and they don't have the backbone of the Warring States Period."

"Brother, times have changed. These little guys don't have to go to the battlefield at the age of five or six. Understandably, they are a little softer," another old man interjected.

During the First World War, the presence of the second generation and old Sengoku figures prevented young ninjas from being thrust onto the battlefield.

"Hmph! I know!" Hiyou grumbled, seemingly glaring at his younger brother. He then turned to Maki and said, "This armor is made of the outer shell of a large insect. It is strong and has excellent chakra conduction—able to deal with many types of ninjutsu attacks."

The giant parasitic insect fascinated Maki, and her father's notes were filled with envious comments about its capabilities.

"It's very evil. It penetrates the human body, inhales the opponent's chakra, and then bursts out after becoming huge," Hiyou explained, detailing the lethal nature of the armor.

"Why don't I have this kind of insect?" Maki expressed her desire for such a powerful creature.

"Shiho," Old man Hiyou called, and another old man produced a handful of insect eggs. He handed them to Maki and introduced himself as her grandpa Shiho.

"Thank you, grandpa," Maki replied with sweetness and then looked at the remaining old man.

"I am your Grandpa Zhihui." The old man presented a purple crystal to Maki. "Your grandpa Shiho's bugs are big, and my bugs are small. They say they are poisonous bugs, but they are non-toxic. Because they are too small, they can only attack cells. The effect of the destroyed toxin is the same as the application of Yang Escape, the Super Shrinking Technique."

Maki listened and nodded, appreciating the uniqueness of Zhihui's bugs.

"Grandpa is so awesome," Maki applauded

Maki thanked him and put the crystal of microform bugs into her pocket.

"Hmph, my parasites are just ordinary parasites, not their fancy mutant stuff," Zhihui remarked.

"However, the parasite itself can evolve infinitely. As the number of battles increases and the generations of parasites change, the parasite itself will be enough to evolve to the most perfect state," Hiyou explained proudly.

"I had a lot of fights with Uchiha when I was young. My parasites can interfere with genjutsu and even the ability to release genjutsu," Hiyou shared. "In addition, the insulation is also very good. As an Aburame, you should know the secret art of insects."

Maki nodded, acknowledging her understanding of the insect swarm's group attack tactics.

"Huh, my insect jade center, igniting someone is like drinking water," Zhihui boasted, putting his hands on his hips.

As the three old men flaunted their insect abilities, Maki admired their unique strengths. She thought about the Kage level of the Aburame clan, finding it both amusing and extraordinary.

"I've given you something; it's up to you whether you can take it or not. Maybe you'll die if you don't do it," Hiyou warned Maki.

"Huh?" Maki was puzzled about the potential danger of the insect eggs.

"What do you think the insects of the Aburame clan are?" Old man Shiho questioned.

"Weapon? A convenient tool?" Maki guessed, adding, "The floor is pretty clean."

"She is indeed my granddaughter," Hiyou nodded in approval. "Yes, insects are an important tool for our clan. Recently, because of the boring will of fire, the children in the clan can regard bugs as boring companions."

"Remember, Lady, parasitic bugs are tools. For my clan, the relationship is between the dominant and the dominator, not companions. Bugs are mindless beasts and monsters. Once you are at a disadvantage, they will bite you back," Hiyou emphasized. "And our companions have always been of the same race!"

The old man's serious tone caught Maki's attention.

"Brother, that's what happened in the past. Don't look at things from the perspective of the Warring States Period anymore. Now everyone in Konoha is a companion," Shiho suggested.

"Little lady, Grandpa Shiho knows that you are cold-tempered and opinionated, but when you are in Konoha, you have to pretend that you like it very much, even if you are pretending, and you have to pretend not to see certain things when you see them."

Maki glanced at Shiho, understanding the necessity of adapting to the times. She acknowledged, "I understand, Grandpa."

"Konoha can't be trusted. Madara's fate is a lesson to others!" Old man Shiho expressed his distrust. "And you know what! That fucking monkey of the Third Generation has already set his sights on you. You have to be careful about that guy."

Maki remained silent.

"Every ninja does not study and practice but instead is keen on fighting for power and profit. It makes me laugh to death!"

"Insect Princess, if you can reach the heights of Madara and Hashirama in the future, you will be able to live freely and as you please and overcome all dissatisfaction with your strength."

"Can parasites do that?" Maki questioned, curious about the old man's confidence.

"I can't! You can!" Hiyou declared.

"Ha?" Maki was taken aback by the unexpected statement.

"That boy third generation only looks at your ability for fun, and the blood inheritance limit is shortsighted," Hiyou continued.

"Grandpa, do you know what I am capable of?" Mei Ji asked, perplexed.

"I don't know!" Old man Hiyou admitted candidly.

Maki was startled by the blunt response.

"However, I know your dominance over the parasites and your ability to transform them," Shiho added.

Reassured, Maki stretched out her hand and demonstrated her insect manipulation.

The three old men marveled at the beauty of the parasite display. They eagerly picked up the jelly beans and bit into them.

"Well, it smells pretty good."

"Yes!"

"Fragrant!"

"Shiho, it's more fragrant than your grilled rice."

They enjoyed the unique taste of the insects, reveling in the experience.

"I have to try some roasted worms," Maki declared.

"In life, you can only live up to your words."
