The aftermath of the incident was that the cleaning company suddenly disappeared.

When we sent people to investigate the next morning, the cleaning company building had been completely abandoned and the underground portions had been collapsed by them.

It seemed that they didn't plan on leaving a single clue behind to find them.

They really moved quickly, so there was nothing that we could do.

While this meant that one of their strongholds had been cleaned out, it meant that the enemies would be much more cautious in the future. After all, they knew that we were already onto them, so they wouldn't act as carelessly to be caught by us.

That would just make them harder to find in the future.

At the very least, this meant that they wouldn't be doing anything big for now, so it would be much more peaceful following this.
