Ryan had spent majority of his time in the cultivation room attempting to create a lightning storage, and the remainder of the time was used on cultivating his mana core.
The excess energy that he had gotten from the Demonic apple has been used up, so he hasn't been focusing that much on cultivating. It will still take a while before he get done with his spell so he wasn't in a rush to strengthen his core fully.
The next day Ryan went to the Exchange Hall looking forward to seeing the silver hair beauty, but sadly some random teacher was there instead. He had decided to sell another demonic apple for 1300 merit points, leaving him with 8 demonic apples left.
He had no choice but to sell another one since he needed more merit points to do a few more things this month.
Now that he got more merit points, he planning on splitting up his time slightly differently. He wanted to check out the training rooms and go there daily. At the meeting he had realized he don't really specialize in anything and can't help feel like its a bad thing.
His strong suit is his intelligence, but he understands that he is far from the smartest student. He thought about learning a bunch of random things but he can't picture how that will help him win fights.
He understands the concept the more you learn, more options you will have when facing a problem, but its more important to increase his combat power instead.
Ryan decided to try to focus his training on a fighting aspect he like and specialize in it. He knows it won't happen over night, but he got to start somewhere.
Ryan entered the training room building and stood in line. There was only 1 guy in front of him and from the shade of his robe he probably a C grade talent.
It didn't take long before it was Ryan turn to pick a room.
"I would like to know the price for the training rooms." Ryan asked the guy behind the counter.
The guy didn't have a student robe on but he didn't look like a teacher either.
"The price depends on what you want in your training room to help you train. If you don't want any thing in the training room than its 3 merit points per hour." The guy responded.
"What type of things can I asked for in my training room?"
"Just look it up on your skynet, there are some limitations on things depending on your talent grade and mana core rank. So it better to look it up since the skynet will only show you the things that you are allowed to use."
"Thanks, for now I will just get a empty room for today. Ryan responded.
"Alright, just tap your skynet on the tablet and confirm that it is the room you want. Than head through that door and just pick any room that not being used. All you have to do is tap your skynet to unlock the door."
Ryan confirm his room and pick the first room that was free to use. Once he made it inside, the room was 50 feet by 50 feet and a 20 feet high ceiling. It was a light gray metallic looking room with a dark gray tiles on the floor.
He saw a timer on the wall like the cultivation room and set it for 2 hours. He wasn't planning on spending to much time here, since finishing his spell is his main concern.
Ryan was already thinking about it yesterday, the aspect of fighting to train is his assassinating skills.
Ryan realized the academy is in a way similar to the time he spent in the forest. He is at the bottom of the food chain in both places and fighting head on is a disadvantage for him.
Even though the other students don't have a overly strong body like beasts, but they have more fighting skills than Ryan. Majority of the students in the academy is probably better at martial arts than Ryan, and it will take a while for him to close the gap by practicing martial arts.
Since he can't beat people in skill, than he will fight in a way where the opponent won't get much time to show off his skills.
Striking fast and hard when his opponent least expect it got him out the forest, maybe that fighting style will be useful here.
Ryan spent the whole time in the training room trying out fighting moves that will cause alot of damage. What he found out after training is that he need to get martial arts techniques that ment for striking fast and a movement technique.
Since he can already hide his mana core, he just need a movement technique that is silent and fast. He don't want to use his flash steps since it way to loud and his floating steps is not fast enough.
Ryan went back to the cultivation room to sleep and woke up the next day. Thinking back at his dream, now he 100% sure each day his time in the dream is getting shorter. He didn't pay to much attention to it since he can't think of anything that would help.
Ryan remember Brian and Elizabeth going in the dungeon today so he sent a message wishing them luck. Then he went to the Exchange Hall for a movement technique and a powerful fast striking martial art technique.
He couldn't find any good techniques that worth the merit points, so he got a cheap movement technique from the outer city. He feels like he should wait to unlock more martial arts techniques after ranking up his core and talent grade.
There no point to spend to much on a martial art technique that will get replaced soon. What he got from the outer city was a 1 star movement technique called silent steps for 200 LG mana stones.
He had picked that movement technique because he can still use his floating steps with it. Having the ability to move quietly and fast, sounds like it would be a useful skill to have. He may not be moving that fast compared to flash steps, but its not that slow either
After buying it Ryan started his training routine for the day.
Ryan plan on spending 8 hours of the day in the cheapest cultivation room to work on creating his spell.
Then he will head to the training room for 3 hours, to practice his martial arts and attacking skills.
Once he is done, he will spend 4 hours cultivating his mana core on floor 50. He decided its worth the merit points if he can cultivate enough to only need 1 demonic apple insted of 2 to strengthen his core fully.
