Thinking about everything I had been through, what I was going through at the moment, and what was to come, I had no choice but to put the blame on none other than my parents.

I hope they forgive me, but that was the point it had gotten to. Having to deal with not just physical torture but emotional and psychological torture, I couldn't bear it anymore and all I wanted was to drown.

As I was about to enter my bathroom with that thought, I heard a knock on the door of my small room.

Scared, I quickly ran to the door, took a deep breath, and opened it.

Beta Joe?

What was he doing here? I thought as I became alarmed.

"Alpha Duke needs something to drink. Go get him juice now," he said to me and walked away. I had to look at his back as I glared at him and shut my door again. After careful consideration, I then took the risk to go get the juice.
