Travelling through the Frost Forest on the horse he brought with him, Zhu Zhiying cradled Chi Cheng against his chest while seated behind him. The younger male stirred now and then, his expression tensing when he finally opened his eyes.

"General Zhu…" Chi Cheng mumbled, squinting while his vision blurred when he looked up at Zhu Zhiying. "How… ?"

"I will explain later," Zhu Zhiying assured him, assessing Chi Cheng's temperature by placing the back of his hand on the younger male's forehead. "You are cold and must be treated quickly."

"Thank you…" Chi Cheng displayed his gratitude, his mind swirling with a tempest of memories that were buried in a part of his soul where his former radiance had perished.

The wolf pup with amber eyes that rested on General Zhu's shoulder and around his neck, tumbled down his chest until it settled itself on Chi Cheng's lap. Nuzzling itself against its Master's touch, the wolf pup emitted a low rumble.
