"I want you to look at me, Chi Cheng," Han Xuelian said softly, cupping the younger male's face and turning his head to face him directly. "I feel better when pretty eyes look at me."

Chi Cheng raised a brow, inwardly cringing at the Grandmaster's attempt to lighten the mood. Shaking his head, he shifted in his seat to face the Grandmaster.

"It's a Qi-absorbing accessory," Chi Cheng revealed, tapping his left earring. "My father gifted it to me at a young age as a protective measure."

"A protective measure that allows you to use cultivation techniques?" Han Xuelian folded his arms.
