But setting aside whether Death will interfere again this time—
The fact that, as a grown man, something he owned was snatched away—
That in itself was humiliating.
It had to be taken back.
Moreover, Zane felt that it was time to settle old and new scores with Death.
He had a faint sense that in this entire Omniversal Cosmos, there could only be one god wielding control over Death.
Thus, between him and Death, only one could remain in the end.
After mulling it over in his mind for a while, Zane withdrew his consciousness.
He glanced at Roma, who had already put her diary away.
Zane felt a slight dissatisfaction toward her.
After all, during the earlier battle, the woman had genuinely stood by and done nothing.
Though, to be fair, Zane hadn't really expected her to assist him.
Always impeccably dressed, Roma noticed Zane's glance and gave him a sheepish smile.
She then slowly approached, standing not far from him, her face adorned with a gentle smile.
"We agreed beforehand that unless my own safety was at risk, I wouldn't interfere in your battles," she said softly.
"Of course, aside from combat, I'll provide you with any help I can."
Hearing Roma's sincere words, Zane's anger subsided somewhat.
He could roughly guess that after the battle with the Watcher clan, it was likely Roma's father, Merlin who mediated on their behalf. Merlin probably had some agreements with the Living Tribunal as well.
It was highly probable that as a mediator, Merlin and his family had to remain neutral in conflicts within the Marvel Universe, much like the Watchers.
But why would Merlin choose to do such a thing?
After leaving the Domain of Watchers, Zane had pondered this question too.
"Well then, do you know where Death is?"
"Can you observe her current location?"
Zane intended to make full use of his resources. With a "living map" by his side, it was only natural to rely on her for finding someone.
Besides, Zane's own Eye of Observation was still a work in progress.
For now, he couldn't yet observe the entire Omniversal Cosmos all at once.
"Uh... Honestly, I'm not too sure," Roma admitted.
"A long time ago, Death's 'Ghost Realm' was located within the Prime Universe, in a domain she carved out for herself."
"In that place, she could extend the rules of her domain to the entire Omniversal Cosmos, making it easier to absorb the souls of the dead."
"But ever since she was exiled from the Prime Universe, there's been little news of her."
"I only heard that she might have secretly assimilated an entire primordial dimensional universe into her own Domain."
"And for beings of Death's level, even I can't observe her Domain."
"So, for now, I can't provide you with an exact answer."
After finishing her explanation, Roma lowered her voice, as if apologizing for her earlier inaction.
"But if you trust me, give me three days. I'll check one area at a time and should be able to tell you where her domain is."
"Alright, I'll give you three days," Zane replied.
"Coincidentally, I have other matters to attend to."
"I'll meet you on the ship in three days."
With that, Zane transformed into a streak of light and vanished without a trace.
Zane transformed into a flash of light and, in the blink of an eye, darted from the entrance of the Atlantheia Universe straight into the [Divine Realm].
At this moment, the [Divine Realm] had undergone a dramatic transformation. After the Beyonder had forcibly extracted it from Zane's body and sealed within the Phoenix Force Orb, the realm had broken free from its dependency on Zane's power. What was once a vast continent had now evolved into a pocket universe, resembling the Domain of Watchers.
Currently, this universe contained only one unique planet.
The moment Zane appeared on this planet within the [Divine Realm], Lorna immediately rushed over to him.
It was surprising because, in the past, unless Zane, as the master of the realm, actively revealed himself, no one else could detect his presence.
Within this realm, Zane had complete awareness of every action and movement. Even the slightest stir would be known to him instantly.
Yet now, Lorna had managed to sense Zane's arrival the instant he appeared.
This clearly demonstrated that her ascension to the pinnacle of the seventh dimension, combined with the extraordinary powers granted by the Goddess of Vengeance, had sharpened her sensitivity to the fabric of space-time on a cosmic level.
"Hubby, how did it go?"
"You beat that horned guy, right?"
Lorna flung herself into Zane's arms, nestling comfortably against him. Her large, curious eyes fixed on Zane as she asked.
Zane wrapped an arm around Lorna's slender waist, noting her habit of giving nicknames to his opponents.
"What do you think?" he replied.
"If you could beat him, do you think I'd have any trouble?"
"By the way, how did you manage that 'Phantom Flash' move?"
Zane gazed at her with equal curiosity and recounted Roma's explanation of the "Phantom Flash" concept.
After listening, Lorna nodded blankly, her eyes glazing over as if recalling some distant memory. She then spoke softly:
"I'm not entirely sure how it happened…"
"After receiving the powers gifted by the Goddess of Vengeance, I became extraordinarily sensitive to the anomalies in the surrounding space-time."
"And I could vaguely sense that, beyond our universe, there are countless others."
"This sensation was strongest when that horned guy summoned numerous afterimages that descended onto himself."
"At that moment, I just acted on instinct, rushing forward with a single thought, letting my body move purely on its own."
"What happened next was everything you saw."
'Looks like Roma was right…'
'This might be a sign of breaking through the single-universe level, reaching the stage where one can harness the power of the multiverse.'
'And because my [Magic Furnace] provides me with infinite energy, people often mistake me for being omnipotent.'
'In reality, my sensitivity to the multiverse, or even the greater Omniversal Cosmos, doesn't compare to what Lorna can perceive now.'
Zane muttered quietly to himself, "Could this be why I haven't been able to break through to the eighth dimension yet?"
"Well, I need to study this carefully."
As Zane held Lorna in one arm, deep in thought, he noticed a sly glint flash across the eyes of his small companion, Bastis.
Without a sound, Bastis scurried onto Zane's shoulder, pressing its nose against him and sniffing all over intently.
Before Zane entered the [Divine Realm], Bastis had been chatting with Lorna, who had arrived earlier, and had learned about the events unfolding outside.
"Huh, where did it go?"
After sniffing for a while, Bastis seemed disappointed, unable to find the scent it was looking for.
