"Bastis, don't forget, you're a Panther, not a house cat."
With that, Zane grabbed the tuft of fur on Bastis's head and tossed her onto Little Bone, who let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Zane's return.
"Zane, you're the best!"
Rocket, wearing gray shorts and with red fur, casually walked up to Zane and clapped his hands…
The forced grin at the corner of his mouth barely concealed his complex emotions after learning that the Destruction Celestial who had killed him had been killed by Zane.
Then, Rocket hugged his furry body tightly and gave Zane a wry smile.
"Brother, everything here is great, but it's a bit creepy."
By now, the central area had been cleared by Bastis, Skynet, and the others of all unrelated souls, moving them to other regions for expansion.
Still, it gave living beings like Rocket a chilling feeling.
"However, to be honest, I didn't know you were quite the narcissist…"
"This statue of yours looks pretty impressive here."
"And since even this dumb cat gets one, how about giving…"
Before finishing his sentence, Rocket winked at Zane with a knowing expression.
"I am Groot! Groot! Groot!"
The little tree person perched on Zane's shoulder echoed Rocket's suggestion with excitement.
Then, with a mischievous look, he whistled.
"Do! Not! Whistle!"
Rocket's face darkened as he leapt forward and smacked Groot off his shoulder.
Zane smiled lightly at the scene. After all, having just survived a life-and-death battle, seeing his friends again filled his heart with warmth.
"Master, please check on Madam."
Ever-diligent, Skynet immediately reported the status of Lorna to Zane.
"Yes, I'm already aware."
The moment Zane entered the "Divine Realm," he noticed a dense emerald energy sphere in the central area where everyone was gathered.
With a quick sense, he knew that the emerald sphere was formed from Lorna's energy.
It seemed to be a sign that Lorna was about to successfully ascend to the sixth dimension.
Moreover, it appeared that she wouldn't be emerging anytime soon.
No one could interfere in this process of ascension.
That's why Zane hadn't rushed to check on Lorna.
At this moment, led by Skynet, Zane approached the towering statue sculpted in his likeness.
The emerald energy sphere created by Lorna was placed right there.
As Zane approached, the sphere suddenly emitted a brilliant light.
Even those like Skynet and Bastis, who had been inside it the longest, were amazed.
With that thought, Zane flashed and appeared in the central area where everyone was gathered.
Whoosh!
A sleek black shadow darted over.
"Meow! Master is back! Bastis missed the great master so much!"
The first to sense Zane's return was Bastis, who pounced on him, sneaking peeks here and there with shifty eyes.
Like a sneaky little cat looking for fish, Bastis scoured Zane's body.
Zane chuckled inwardly. He knew that after last time, Bastis had become even more cunning.
Seeing that Zane had returned safely, Bastis was quick to act, thinking of grabbing the Destruction Celestial's divine spark first.
The brilliant emerald light illuminated the statue of Zane beside it, making the sculpture glow even more brightly. The rigid facial features etched into the statue suddenly seemed to come alive with energy.
"How long has Lorna been like this?" Zane asked Skynet, since during his battle with the Destruction Celestial, time no longer had any meaning. He had no way of knowing how much time had passed for those in the "Divine Realm." It could have been an hour, a day, or even more than a year.
Upon hearing the question, Skynet's eyes flickered with a green light, and without hesitation, he replied:
"Master, we entered at Earth time, November 27, 2007, 5:32:54 PM."
Most of the group, including Zane, originally came from Earth. And although they weren't from this Marvel universe, Zane still felt a certain nostalgia for the place that shared the same name as the planet from his previous life. Therefore, Skynet continued to use Earth's standard time.
"Then, Madam crystallized into the emerald energy sphere on November 29, 2007, at 1:16:24 AM, after entering."
"And now, it's December 27, 2007, 3:23:44 PM."
"So, the time since you brought us into the 'Divine Realm' is…"
Zane cut Skynet off, knowing that Skynet, like many great scientists, had a tendency to measure time down to the second, or even the millisecond, which seemed overly precise for the situation.
"So, you've been here for more than a month, and Lorna has been in this sphere for less than a month."
Since most of the group were beings of extremely high dimensional levels, and Zane regularly nourished them with the power of faith, they could sustain themselves in the "Divine Realm" using the faith energy from the numerous souls. Hunger wasn't an issue.
Gamora, having been specially trained by Thanos as an intergalactic assassin, could easily survive for a month without food or water in space.
The only concern was Star-Lord, who was lying there as a corpse.
"Let me take a look."
Zane quietly approached the emerald sphere, moving carefully, as if afraid that even the slightest disturbance might cause some of the energy to leak out. He knew that Lorna was at a critical juncture in absorbing the divine spark and evolving into a sixth-dimensional being.
Any external energy getting too close could have a negative effect.
Suddenly, the intense emerald light emanating from the sphere softened. It was as if the energy was longing for a gentle touch, radiating warmth and affection.
Zane didn't dare use his consciousness to probe inside the sphere to check on Lorna's condition. He feared that his seven-dimensional energy might overload the current state of the crystalized sphere.
After observing it carefully for a while, he gently placed his hand on the emerald sphere and softly asked:
"Lorna, can I come in?"
After a moment, the emerald light began flashing rhythmically, as if signaling approval. Then, it abruptly shifted, flickering chaotically with multicolored lights.
It seemed that now wasn't the right time.
Zane felt a tinge of disappointment, but after thoroughly examining the sphere's exterior, he allowed himself to relax.
As he had initially expected, Lorna's process of absorbing the Searcher's divine spark to ascend was different from his own previous experiences, but the energy being emitted was pure and calm, with no violent disturbances.
Otherwise, Lorna wouldn't have been able to control the light from inside the sphere so effortlessly.
It seemed that she needed more time to fully absorb all the energy and make the leap into the sixth dimension.
