章節 165: A-Grade Skill

When Zane furrowed his brows and opened his eyes, he saw that Lorna had already returned, and she was currently grabbing Bastis's tail, trying to pull it away.

Meanwhile, Bastis's two claws were hanging onto Zane's clothes, showing a determined refusal to leave Zane.

"You stinky cat, get off my man!"

"Stinky woman, as a pet, it's only natural for me to sleep in my master's arms!"

"Stinky cat..."

"Stinky woman..."

Seeing this scene, Zane was at a loss for words, then a towering anger rose within him. It turns out he was awakened by these two troublemakers!

With a wicked smile on his face, Zane slowly sat up under the trembling gazes of Lorna and Bastis.

"Who started it?" Zane's chilling voice made Lorna and Bastis shiver involuntarily.

Then both Lorna and Bastis consciously stood aside with their heads lowered, appearing as if they knew they were in the wrong.

However, one hand and one paw were unapologetically pointing at each other.

Seeing this, Zane smirked.

"Since neither of you wants to admit it, then you'll both be punished together."

With that, Zane mercilessly flicked Lorna and Bastis on their heads.

As they tearfully held their heads, Zane smiled contentedly, taking a deep breath.

Finally, clarity!

For some reason, Lorna and Bastis had always been at odds, and Zane couldn't figure out why.

They were different species, for goodness' sake! How did jealousy even come into play?

In the end, Zane could only blame it on the fact that women were a mysterious species; otherwise, there was no way to explain it.

"Little Bone is the best, always trouble-free." Zane looked at Little Bone, who was watching the commotion with her head tilted, and thought to himself.

But just as Zane had this thought, Little Bone raised her bony claw and pointed it at Lorna, who was glaring angrily at her and Bastis.

"Master, it was Madam who started it," Little Bone said obediently.

With Lorna looking betrayed, Zane facepalmed in despair.

'I should have known better. There's not a single normal person in this house. I shouldn't have expected anything!' Zane thought to himself dejectedly.

Little Bone wasn't scheming; she was just too honest, perhaps overly so.

In his previous life, Zane had a particularly apt term for someone like Little Bone: 'airhead.'

Yes, Little Bone could be described as a genuine airhead. Her previous form was the vengeful angel Zarathos.

A mad angel wouldn't possess much intelligence, so when Zarathos was shattered and reformed by the [Realm of Dead], Little Bone was born.

She only inherited Zarathos's memories, not any intelligence, which was why she regarded the rules of Jehovah as her own.

In a sense, Little Bone was still just a newborn baby, like a blank piece of paper.

Wasn't that the definition of an airhead?

But an airhead could also be described as a 'natural schemer'!

As for the reason?

Didn't you see how Lorna was glaring at her?

After some roughhousing, Zane remembered he still had one A-grade skill lottery left.

After washing his hands and face to boost his luck, Zane solemnly addressed the system:

"System, commence the lottery!"

[Affirmative, host.]

[Lottery in progress...]

[Lottery completed. Congratulations, host, on obtaining the A-grade passive skill, [Eternal Arms Mastery].]

Upon hearing the name of this new skill, Zane's eyes lit up. He opened the system panel to examine the skill's description.

[A-grade passive skill, [Eternal Arms Mastery], originated from the "Fate" world's Lancelot. In an era when he was peerless in martial arts, it allowed complete unity of mind, technique, and body, enabling the wielder to unleash formidable combat prowess unaffected by any mental influence.]

After reading the skill description, Zane's mind was immediately immersed in Eternal Arms Mastery.

Zane seemed to enter a special space where an indistinct figure imparted various martial arts and combat experiences to him, then sparred with him.

He didn't know how long it lasted, perhaps a second, perhaps millennia. In that space, time seemed to lose all meaning.

After finally defeating the indistinct figure with a giant sickle, the mist surrounding the figure dispersed.

It revealed a knight in armor with long flowing hair and eyes that seemed to hold countless untold stories and melancholy.

If Zane guessed correctly, this person was Lancelot, the strongest Knight of the Round Table known as the "Knight of the Lake" in the legends of ancient Britain in the Fate world.

"Thank you!"

In the special space, Zane sheathed the giant sickle in his hand, slightly bowed, and sincerely expressed his gratitude.

Only Zane himself knew the extent of his transformation after this seemingly endless learning session.

This 'thank you' was sincere from Zane's heart, marking the first time since he arrived in the Marvel world that he had slightly bowed his spine.

Although he obtained the A-grade skill, [Eternal Arms Mastery], through his own abilities, it was as if he and Lancelot had entered into a master-disciple relationship.

There's a saying: 'When three people walk together, one of them is my teacher.' Zane understood this; admitting someone is stronger than oneself wasn't that difficult.

One must learn to be grateful!

And Lancelot, satisfied, nodded at Zane without saying a word, dissolving into a wisp of green smoke within the special space.

With Lancelot's disappearance, the space collapsed abruptly, and Zane's soul returned to his body.

Opening his eyes, Zane saw Lorna and Bastis still playfully fighting beside him, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed that the passage of time in the real world and that special space was different.

Now, Zane deeply understood the terror of his system. He hadn't thought deeply about it before.

But with Lancelot's appearance this time, Zane realized that his skills weren't creations of the system; they were copied from various extraordinary individuals across different worlds and even dimensions.

Zane could confirm that the Lancelot he encountered wasn't a figment of the system's imagination but a living person.

Damn, it's terrifying to think about!

Shaking his head, Zane shook off these frightening thoughts.

These were things he couldn't comprehend at his current level. There was no use dwelling on them.

"System, open the character attributes panel."
