As Jihoon noticed Mer Jiao's gaze fixed towards the corner of the cave, he followed it, his curiosity piqued. He squinted, his eyes narrowing as he tried to make out what Mer Jiao was seeing.

He then turned back to Mer Jiao, an incredulous look crossing his face, before glancing back at the dark corner where there seemed to be nothing but shadows.

Jihoon's expression shifted from confusion to amusement, his lips curling into a mocking smile. He turned fully towards Mer Jiao, his eyes glinting with a mixture of derision and cold curiosity.

His voice, when he spoke, was icy yet laced with a cruel amusement. "What happened? Are you finally going crazy?" he taunted, his tone dripping with mockery. "Is it that you're dying?"

His words hung in the air, sharp and cutting, as he took a step closer to the weakening Mer Jiao. Jihoon's eyes flickered with a dark satisfaction as he watched the mer struggle, the life slowly draining from his eyes.
