章節 121: Deliberate acts

When Kaoma woke up naked next to Maxixe she didn't panic, instead she felt the opposite.

It just felt right to be naked beside him like she was meant to have this moment for life. 

As the blizzard raged outside and the temperature in the room dropped, snuggling next to Maxixe just seemed more inviting. 

They had survived a terrible carriage accident, in her mind, they could have died.

Kaoma would never see her baby Jax or little sister Sarika ever again but they were alive which was something to celebrate.

It didn't matter that they were in the middle of nowhere, they still had a lot to give thanks for, there was a roof over their head and protection from the harshness of mother nature. 

So what if only the cold penetrated through the rusty red brick walls of the cottage, and that the room had a hearth but there was no wood to set a fire.

In her mind the fact that Maxixe was alive beside her, was in itself a miracle.
