Jale had been prepared to gloat to Grul. After all, mere candidates could not compared to veteran Bronze rank adventurers. Or so he thought.
He was forced to watch as the Crimson Blood, one of the strongest party from his town beaten badly. Each fight last less than 10 minutes, with the two fighters fight being the shortest.
In fact, he believed the second-strongest member would have lost just as quick if not for the other side mage holding back and only unleashing his full power when he get angered.
His plan to crippled budding adventurers on Grul side did not work at all, with one of his best Bronze-rank party being defeated so easily, making it look like he is the joke.
"So, I think they more than show they earned the promotion," if it just Grul, maybe Jale could deny what happen. But with a Gold-Rank executive being involved as well, there is no way he could do anything. In the end, he could only nod, giving only the barest of agreement.
"Good, the badges are already prepared. We only need to give it to them," Grul already expected them to win, didn't he?

The group looked at the badge in their possession with a smile. "So, when are we going to the next city?" Lisa asked. After all, it is one of their agenda the moment they become Bronze-rank adventurers.
"We need to make some preparation first, make sure we have enough provisions to last us the journey. Not to mention we need to pick a route there. Also, see if there is any caravan going to the city," Ian explained.
"In the end, we need to prepare a lot of things, right?" Kell exclaimed. Ian nodded. After all, leaving and going to another city is a major decision that will greatly effect them all. So there is no way he would do things half arsed.
"Let's ask Mr. Grul. He must have some suggestion for us," Fiona suggested. They looked at each other before nodding. After all, going to the most knowledgeable person in the entire guild make sense.
-x-
"So, you want to leave?" Mr. Grul asked, to which they nodded.
He sigh, "Make sense. There is no good missions and rewards for Bronze Rank adventurers in this small town. Though, why are you here?"
"Well," Ian froze, suddenly feeling shy with what he was about to say, "We wanted to ask for your suggestion, on the city we should go to," he said.
"Hhmm," the older man did not speak up, but he did walk away. They all starting to feel despair, as they are afraid they upset the older man.
But he soon return with a map, map of the Melun Kingdom, Ian corrected.
"Thrine Town is here," he pointed to a small symbol. "You say you want to go to a city, not town, correct," he asked.
"Yes, because there should be more opportunities for us. While a larger town would suffice, the competition should be greater compared to the one in larger city," Ian explained.
"The logic is sound, and it's true. While there are more Bronze Rank adventurers, the amount of C-rank commissions in the city is more than enough for everyone, with some extra left," Mr. Grul confirmed it.
"Where do you want to go, as in, if you want to travel more, where do you want to go?" he asked.
"Depends, aside from the Melun Kingdom, are there any interesting places, or maybe countries we can visit in the future," the older man grunted before pointing at several grey part of the map.
"Melun Kingdom is located east of Vavor Sea, which connected the Kingdom to the island nations as well as to three other continents at the Western Hemisphere.
As for the South, there is the Falsa Desert. While there is a large desert there, a lot of nomadic tribe live there, along with trading nations. Those nations depends on the jewels and precious metals in the desert to grow into prosperous nations.
At the east, there is some neighbouring nations but those have similar culture to the Melun Kingdom. However, further is there is the Eastern Dynasty, several nations with different belief and culture than the Melun Kingdom.
At the north, there is the three superpower of the north, ruling the Northern Continent of Iskal. There reside the Demon Kingdom, Ice Nation Forson, and Ice Elf Tribe of Gilarnis.
So, where do you want to go next?" the variety of option almost caused Kell's head to burst, Ian could tell.
So, he decide to do his role as the straight man. "We want to go to the Central Region before we think of going anywhere further. So, which city is the closest to the Central Region while still being in the Southern Region?" Ian asked.
"So you still want to be at the Southern Region?" Mr. Grul commented.
"Yes, we should take thing slow. Learning new things about the world is good but we still should make sure we don't get to hasty. Not to mention, different nations have different cultures, and we don't want to accidently offend someone by doing something we not supposed to," Ian reasoned.
"Good thinking. In that case, this is the closest city to the Central Region, the Midarna City," he pointed at a symbol near the Central Region but still inside the Southern Region.
"It's the biggest city in the Southern Region," the man said.
"Make sense. Being so close to the core of the Melun Kingdom, there must be a lot of merchants and traders passing though it," Ian commented.
"You are correct," Mr. Grul nodded.
"But it's prosperity also because it has a large leylines in it's vicinity," he continued.
"So, there is a mana-rich zone, which mean,, something like Thrine Forest, but bigger and more dangerous," Ian guessed.
"Yes," he pointed at symbols of what he assume to be trees and forests.
"There two places connected directly to the leylines, Midar Range, and Darna Forest," he explained.
"Midar Range is famed for having mana crystals directly forming in the mountains, so there will be a lot of commissions of escorting miners to the mines, mining the precious crystals. But is also home to a lot of monsters, such as dire bats, cave wolves, and even golems.
Then, there is Darna Forest. The forest have a lot of herbs and magical plants used in alchemy and medicines. For this reason, the Midarna City is the alchemy city of the Southern Region. In fact, it is one of the best in regards to alchemy, only defeated by the capital and another city at the Central Region.
A lot of commission requesting to gather herbs of various grades and uses, but there are a lot of monsters as well,"
