章節 6: Chapter 6

After much contemplation, Tony Stark was unable to form a clear plan of action.

The available intelligence was indeed too scarce.

Even the most skilled cook cannot prepare a meal without rice.

Without the support of intelligence, no matter how clever Tony Stark was or how intelligent J.A.R.V.I.S. was, it was of no use.

Therefore, the most pressing matter at hand was the "spoiler" in the diary.

Tony Stark refocused his attention on the diary in front of him.

However, this time.

As Tony Stark waited, there were no further entries in the diary.

It seemed that this was where the diary entries ended.

But Tony Stark did not stop there; he still had many issues to deal with.

The mysterious diary, the time-traveler who knew the future of the world, the truth behind his parents' deaths, the Ten Rings' abduction.

All these enigmas were waiting for Tony Stark to unravel and conquer.

As for the arrival of Asgardians, alien invasions, and the universe's cosmic welfare committee wiping out half of all life—those were too far-fetched and ridiculous.

Tony Stark was not planning to deal with those just yet.

What he was currently concerned with were several key issues.

Some of these issues were without clues for the time being.

But he had made some progress with others.

For example, the identity of Zhou Cheng.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., how many Zhou Cheng did you find across America?"

After organizing his thoughts, Tony Stark asked J.A.R.V.I.S. this question.

"Three thousand seven hundred and twenty-one, sir!"

J.A.R.V.I.S. immediately responded.

Tony Stark nodded, indicating he took note of the figure.

He then began to flip through the diary again, analyzing the information.

"'Being an ordinary person who has traveled to another time, I am quite panicked', 'Someone like Tony Stark, with his status, isn't someone ordinary people can meet.'"

"It's clear that the Zhou Cheng mentioned in the diary is an ordinary person, even one from the lower echelons of society."

"J.A.R.V.I.S., remove all the elite and upper-class individuals from those 3,721 people."

"'Hoping to strike it big and marry a wealthy beauty, that's what I'm counting on', single, male."

"Remove all the married ones as well."

"The diary entries contain a lot of colloquialisms and internet slang that younger people use."

"Eliminate those who are above thirty years old."

"Considering the timing of the diary entries, they span across the working hours of the working class."

"He either has a leisurely job that allows him to write diary entries during work hours."

"Or, he is unemployed, a student, or some other non-working person."

"J.A.R.V.I.S., with all these criteria combined, how many are left?"

"Two hundred and seventy-three, sir!"

J.A.R.V.I.S. immediately provided the answer.

All the relevant information of these 273 people was also projected in front of Tony Stark.

If Zhou Cheng were present, he would find that his own personal file was among them.

"Two hundred and seventy-three people?"

Tony Stark propped his chin on his hand and quickly scanned through the dense information in front of him, "Still not enough!"

Although more than ninety percent had been filtered out, over two hundred people remained.

Technically, it would not be a problem for J.A.R.V.I.S. to keep track of over two hundred people. Tony just didn't want to make it look like he was some kind of voyeur.

Of course.

Now, Tony Stark didn't have a better choice but to do just that, temporarily.

"Jarvis, keep an eye on them for now."

After some thought, he still gave Jarvis such an order.

He could wait until later when the notebook revealed more intelligence and he had further filtering criteria to slowly sift through.

...

The matter with Zhou Cheng was put on hold for the moment.

Tony Stark waved his hand grandly, and all the projected information in front of him vanished.

Next up.

Tony Stark began to think carefully about how to invade the relevant departments discreetly and crack those encrypted files.

...

"Damn, isn't this a bit of a disappointment?"

"Isn't a diary supposed to be something you write when you want?"

Inside the old house.

Zhou Cheng looked at the line of text that appeared on the notebook and immediately felt speechless.

[Host lacks Origin Points, unable to record, please replenish Origin Points immediately!]

Right.

Zhou Cheng's diary entry did indeed end, but not because he wanted it to end.

He was quite into writing it.

Who would have thought that while he was writing, the notebook would prompt that he ran out of Origin Points?

Writing this diary actually requires consuming something called Origin Points.

This is unheard of.

But on second thought, okay.

Isn't this notebook not your ordinary diary after all?

More importantly.

These are the rules set by the Supreme God, what can Zhou Cheng do?

If he wants to benefit from the notebook and grow stronger through it, he can only play by its rules.

Since he's out of Origin Points, he has to replenish them.

As expected, there are no pie-in-the-sky opportunities.

Even with a cheat, one must still follow the principle that you reap what you sow.

Do nothing, sit there dreaming up a few lines of text, and reach the pinnacle of life?

That's just wishful thinking.

Zhou Cheng just made a slight complaint, then quickly moved on.

It's just Origin Points, right?

Game on!

So how can he obtain Origin Points?

The notebook naturally provided the answer, and Zhou Cheng examined it closely.

The official explanation is quite grandiose, dignified, and lofty.

But when it comes down to an action plan, it can basically be summed up in four words: fight against criminals.

This is...

Zhou Cheng couldn't help but feel speechless.

He was just joking that he had become a superhero, and lo and behold, it became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It turns out he really had to be a superhero.

Heaven help him, Zhou Cheng was planning to lay low and quietly develop.

It seems now that he is being forced into action!

"Damn it, if I have to be a superhero, so be it!"

"Besides, I now possess an Imperial Regalia, who am I afraid of?"

Zhou Cheng quickly made such a decision.

In any case, it's an Imperial Regalia!

With Tony Stark still not kidnapped, Iron Man has yet to be born.

Superheroes and such have yet to surface.

With those wings, Zhou Cheng could also achieve a lot.

So~

Where should he go "playing the hero" and harvesting Origin Points next?

Zhou Cheng fell into deep thought.

"That settles it!"

And soon enough, Zhou Cheng couldn't resist slapping his hand.

He had made a decision.
