章節 33: Boombox's true face
Boombox stops running as he rushes to catch his breath.
"I'm pretty sure it went this direction!" Boombox looks around at the trees as he takes deep breaths. The air around him seemingly becomes a thick mist.
"What the-" A voice a bit higher pitched than Boomboxs echoes.
"Kill them" Boomboxs eyes widened in disbelief.
"Who are you!?" An ominous whistle sounds out. A World Government flag falling beside him. Almost hitting him as he dodges.
"Kill them all!!" The kid jumps forward with Boomboxs dagger. Boombox blocks it and grabs him. Throwing him into a tree.
"Who are you!?" The kid grows large white wings matching his hair. Boombox recognizes the kid.
"Kill them all!! Kill those Conselations!" Memories flashed through Boomboxs mind. The small white haired kid standing in the middle of the massacre of his people. Him being the only surviver. Boombox rushed forward as he punched the child.
"How and why are you here!? It's impossible, unfathomable for me to be talking to my past!" The child starts laughing as it disappears into the fog.
"Not when you can alter reality" The laughter turns maniacle as Boombox coughs up blood. Falling to the ground as his presthetic falls off his jaw. Fresh bones carving through the skin and regrowing his jaw. New skin and muscles grow over it as Boombox screams in pain. His long black hair turned white as massive white feathered wings grew from the stubs on his back. Bones growing from the nubs on his arms. Growing muscles and fingers as blood drips on the ground.
Yuma sits at the table across from Cani. Cani sighs and puts her head down. Yuma tilted his head.
"Hey, Cani?" Cani looks up.
"Even though you're a normal human. Unlike Kinsha, how is it that you recover faster? Is that a genetic thing?" Cani sighs.
"Regeneration, depending on your genes, can be slow or fast, just like" She stops herself from puking.
"Animal people" There was silence as she continued a moment later.
"It's an instant add when you get through Heaven's Gate, you automatically get genetically modified to recover faster, probably as the system's way of keeping itself alive" Yuma is confused.
"System?" Cani nods.
"I think of it like a game, everyone gets a power up plus an extra bonus, the bonus being there to keep the player alive" Yuma nods.
"So what about Boombox?" Cani is confused.
"Why hasn't he regenerated his jaw or arms yet?" Cani realizes.
"Either he's forcefully stopping them regenerating or the system glitched, either way-" She stops talking as Yuma sighs. Footsteps outside as Cani rushes to stand.
"Boombox is back!" Yuma jumps slightly as he walks over. Noticing Cani's wide eyes as he looks out.
"B-Boombox!?" Boombox stands outside the bout on the rocks. Short white and scruffy hair. Silver eyes glare at them. Long slinky arms and a scar over his right eye. Two massive white feathered wings stretching from his back. His shirt had been ripped off in the process revealing his 8 pack.
"Is that really him?" Yuma is confused and turns to Cani. Cani's whole face is red and fainting. Yuma rushed to catch her. Cani stuttering.
"H-h-he's… h-hot…" Boombox standing outside.
"Are y'all gonna stand there and look at my shirtless chest or are you gonna give me some food and a new shirt that'll fit around my wings?" Yuma shouts back through the window.
"I will, Cani fainted cause of your hotness, fly up on deck and i'll get you a shirt" Boombox blushes embarased as he spreads his wings and jumps onto the deck. Yuma standing there.
"For having wings now, you aren't very graceful" Boombox scoffs.
"I'm still getting used to them, okay?" Yuma chuckles.
"Sure"
