Narrator's POV
A giant ape, a behemoth among beasts, its massive form a few inches taller than the Giants of old is about to hit our Hero with its giant fist and he can't help but feel a sense of deja vu.
'Truck-kun, is that you?' Our Hero thought as the Apeman's fist drew to a close the same way as how he was about to be punched back then by the infamous Truck.
Unlike before where he was merely a feeble human. Now? The circumstances are different.
*BOOM!* *CRASH!*
With a flick of his wrist, our Hero sent the giant apeman crashing to the ground below, the earth trembling beneath the force of the impact.
He controlled his strength so it wouldn't harm the apeman too much.
'It wouldn't be polite if I were to kill the apemen the first time we meet. Dialogue and diplomacy. Dialogue and diplomacy' our Hero thought to himself as he repeated the line on his head.
The felled Apeman found it's bearings started to climb the trees to meet our hero once again.
Amidst the cacophony of falling leaves and snapping branches. The frantic rustling echoed through the jungle, drawing closer with each passing moment. Our hero braced himself again, as his heart is pounding in anticipation of the approaching behemoth.
With a deafening roar, the apeman once again jumped towards our hero, with its immense fists swinging with primal fury. Our hero, now composed, met the onslaught with grace, effortlessly dodging the heavy quick blows. Despite the vast difference in size, Our hero once again held back his strength, unwilling to unleash his full power against the ape.
As the Apeman's fist once again tried to rush towards him, our Hero extended a single hand, effortlessly halting the colossal strike in mid-air.
With that action, he has stopped the punch's full momentum, leaving the Apeman dangling in the sky as our Hero still held the apeman up high.
Confusion laced upon the face of the dangling Apeman, only for it to mold into frustration. It started flailing like a fish out of water and kept on grabbing our Hero and punching him with it's other arm to free itself from his grip, only to no avail.
"Punching someone you just met is not nice you know?" said our Hero casually, amused by the actions of his would be enemy.
He then willed his system to show him his Map, only for him to then notice the green dot beside him.
'It's not an enemy' thought the Hero as he too noticed a group of green dots within the surroundings of the Dark City of Yeen.
'But seriously, no enemies?' he deduced, for there were no red dots appearing despite the interior and ambiance of the whole city being malevolent.
'It seems that these apes dwell near Yeen and not within it. Perhaps that makes sense considering the dark looming energy it gives off, but why would they choose to live around here?' lost in in his own thoughts to make sense of what he has observed.
The Ape also went silent. Baffled and shocked that a flying human is capable of speaking their tongue.
"You... Speak... Ape..?" The ape asked, still confused to how it was able to communicate with him and breaking our own Hero's musings.
"Uhmm... Yes! I Speak Ape! Me come in peace!" our Hero replied, though in a more crude manner compared to his perfect sentences before to match the Apeman.
It was the first time for the Ape to have met a human capable of talking with him. Not to mention a flying one that somehow makes the Apeman feel comfortable at the same time threatened.
'Weird hooman' the Apeman thought as even when it had the nagging feeling that the human is very strong.
Only then for dread to come wash over the Apeman's face.
'Hooman... Strong... Me weak... Will tribe survive?' the Apeman's thoughts lingered to how this stranger may try to hurt his tribe and his family. But he has already seen what he is capable of.
'Hooman too strong, not like other hoomans. Very weak, yummy meat'
He only wanted to punch the weird hooman, because he instinctively felt as sudden change and a powerful aura and was driven fight instinctively to protect his ape family.
Little did he knows that he can do nothing to harm this weird human. No amount of grappling and punches did anything to the stranger. Not even a single cut or wound could be found. The Apeman felt like he was punching an unbreakable rock.
A rock that is firm, steady, and Hard.
"Me no hurt you Ape. Me no hurt ape family too" our hero spoke reassuringly to the apeman, as if reading the its mind.
"Weird hooman not hurt ape family?" the Apeman spoke bewildered as to why. For the apeman was used to the rules of the jungle. The strong can play and trample the weak as they eat them at the end.
"Me no hurt anyone" said our Hero with utmost grace and a smile on his face.
The apeman seeing that the weird human wishes no harm upon its kin smiled sincerely. Though the smile he made was quite disturbing in our Hero's eyes.
His lips curl back, revealing rows of ominous teeth that glint in the dim light. It's not a friendly grin as much as what the apeman tried to show—it's more like a predator baring its fangs. Each tooth is jagged and sharp, like knives ready to tear into flesh. Yet his eyes, they gleam with such innocence and curiosity, as if he's still sizing you up, deciding whether what you said was true or if you're friend or foe, despite your reassurance.
Reason behind is that humans for the Apemen are quite a delightful dish. They are weak, less in meat but rich in flavor. Unlike the 'weird hooman' this Apeman has met.
Apemen are omnivorous. They consume both meat and fruits. They had long since acquired a sense of taste for human meat after their ancestors ate a wandering group of humans, lingering about the City of Yeen and they soon considered it as a tribal delicacy, the same way as how they relish the taste of the large gorged yellow fruits they call 'Banaenaes'.
With the misunderstandings left behind. Our Hero descended from the blue skies upon the forest greens.
He then let go of the arm he held and introduced himself.
"I am... Ainz. What is yours?" Our hero asked towards the still smiling ape.
"Weird hooman name, A-Ahh-Ayns? Ape name Harambe!" It said as he struggled speaking our Hero's name as he stood with pride and was beating his chest after he introduced himself.
"Harambe... Ainz. Ainz... Harambe" Our hero spoke with amusement as he slowly reiterated their names as he pointed at each other.
"Ayns ... Harambe. Harambe... Ayns" Harambe imitated our Hero with a wide grin showcasing his intimidating teeth.
They have created a bond, within that short exchange that lead one thing on to another.
Harambe invited our Hero to meet his family and his tribe. He had 2 sons and a daughter. All three looked so cute that our Hero wanted to pet them. Only to be stopped by Harambe's mate, Kala.
Though cautious at first, a few words of reassurance and affirmations made them calm in the presence of what should have been food. But this food is unlike no other for it is capable of defeating their chief.
With a series of exchange and a gigantic feast. He was served countless fruits and edible plants that he could not recognize them all. Harambe even went too far by offering some Female apes for him to mate with which our Hero fervently declined.
All this time spent with the Ape tribe lead our Hero to feel something he thought he already lost.
Ainzerophiel is actually having fun.
Our Hero smiled with mirth as he then started beating his chest the same way Harambe did followed by the familiar call of Tarzan.
"Aah-eeh-ah-eeh-aaaaaah-eeh-ah-eeh-aaaaah!"
Harambe and the other tribesman was looking at our Hero as if he's crazy. Confused and curious at first, the soon followed suit.
"AAH-EEH-AH-EEH-AAAAAAH-EEH-AH-EEH-AAAAAH!!"
Their loud call and beating of chest reverberated throughout the Jungle.
The jungle was filled with the angelic and apeness harmony of beating chests and echoing calls.
With this... This fateful meeting of both Angel and Apes
A life long friendship was born.
