Ming Da Run looked at her daughter, then away with a slight hum, before scolding her lightly. "You were supposed to be here a long time ago. Why are you only here now?"

She was only complaining because of the awful hospital food. Even though she was in the VIP section, the quality wasn't up to her standards. Only her daughter's cooking could ease the disappointment of the bland meal she'd had earlier.

Chen Mumu knew exactly how to lift her mother's spirits. She had been hiding the food she brought and now moved her body slightly so her mother could catch a glimpse of the glistening bento box in her hands. As soon as she saw it, Ming Da Run quickly moved from the bed, her face lighting up with a smile.

"Oh, look! It's my favorite daughter who has finally arrived!" she exclaimed, snatching the food from Chen Mumu's hands like a child unwrapping a long-awaited gift.
