章節 41: Chapter-41 : Riding
"You're not doing it right, lean into the motion a bit more" Hiro said as he sat behind Kurenai on Roach's back while giving Kurenai lessons about horse riding.
His chest was leaning into Kurenai's back as he rested his head a bit above his shoulder while grabbing her hands from the behind as he guided her on how to control the reign.
Hiro could feel the subtle fragrance of her rose perfume and her natural scent going into his nose as he controlled the urge to get inside Kurenai's pants right now.
Kurenai on the other hand had a full on blush going on her face as she tried to do what Hiro was telling her.
'Why does he have to make this so much embarrassing' She thought as she could feel his weight on her chest, he was grasping her hands with a ready and firm grip.
It had been an hour since they had left Konoha, and for the past hour she had been trying to get the hang of riding a horse under Hiro's supervision.
And Hiro had been enjoying every second of it.
In this world, owning a transport animal like horses and cattle was a rarity, only those of either noble descent with huge money or large merchant caravans owned them.
Most people won't even see one until they venture out of the safety of village with a caravan, a thing most people refrained from doing due to the dangers of nature.
Same was with Kurenai, although she had seen a horse before, she had never rode one, only moved along it to protect a caravan for missions sometimes.
Not to mention that Roach was a chakra beast, one that was of a royal bloodline and immense strength and stamina, he gave off same feeling as a B-ranked chakra beast, despite being relatively young and barely even qualifying as a teen in chakra beast ages.
Also, having summoning contract with a chakra beast was very rare in this world, because it was pretty hard to get one.
Not only did you have to first get in contact and convince the contract holder of the beast clan to let you summon a beast, you also had to clear the tests set by the chakra beast clans to contract them.
Forget about reverse summoning yourself, cause 99.99% of time, you will not be able to return alive untill you have unbelievable luck.
(A/N : Remember how Jiraya reverse summoned himself to mount Myokboku, and how third Hokage considered him as good as gone)
Despite that, most elite Jonins and S-ranks had one through the use of connections.
Even then, a transport type such as Roach would be envied by pretty much everyone.
Although the sun had set and nightly predators of the wild had gone active, Hiro and Kurenai continued on their way, covering large amount of distance with ease.
Although there were some chakra beasts that seemed to be looking for easy prey at night, as soon Hiro used his chakra suppression, they went away as defeating him along with another strong human would have been a tough fight.
Chakra beasts weren't all just dumb creatures driven by instinct, as they got stronger, their sentience also grew, making them more intelligent, though not as much as humans.
Even Hiro was a bit doubtful when he saw a herd of Iron hides, a type of bovine chakra beasts nearing, and had to take detour due to them.
A couple hours after midnight, they reached a medium sized settlement called the Shinku village and looked for a tavern.
Even though it was very late, a couple taverns were still open because of how travelling caravans arrived mostly at odd times.
"But we only have one small room available and it only has a bed and a couch in it, still want it?" The old and aged innkeeper said as he yawned, smell of cheap alcohol wafting off of him as he got up, turning a small bulb on as the reception area lit up slightly.
Hiro, who heard the cliché situation of only one room being available, smiled on the inside as he said while taking out cash from his pocket.
"We'll take it"
Kurenai, who heard him, looked at Hiro's face with skepticism as Hiro continued
"You take the bed and I'll take the couch, My ass is already sore sitting all day, I would like to get some rest as soon as possible" Hiro said, grabbing the key from Innkeeper's hands as the old man huffed in a sleepy haze and started counting money.
"First floor, end of the corridor, right side, I ain't coming up to show ya, not good for my old bones" The innkeeper said, offering world class service as he he closed the light and sat back on his chair and started snoring instantly.
"Lodging secured, lets to have some rest" Hiro said as Kurenai just shook her head and followed him.
Though sharing a room with a man was something she hadn't done yet and would have liked a whole room to herself, the idea of sharing a room with Hiro didn't seem that bad.
As they moved into the room, Hiro said "He really wasn't lying when he said the room was small"
As it was indeed very small, just a couch, a bed and a table with chair besides the bed with a single bulb on the wall.
"Better than camping out in the wild" Hiro muttered under his breath as he places the large bag bought by Kurenai on the table.
Moved towards the couch, sealed it in a sealing scroll to make some space and took out a mattress from a seal he had bought along.
"What? Don't tell me you don't carry your own mattress and pillows....." Hiro said as he then realized that most things he does will come out as a first and strange to others.
Shinobi's always preferred mission completion and efficiency over comfort, mostly disregarding their own living conditions as they are usually out for missions.
That's where Hiro differed from the rest, it didn't matter if he was in his house or out in the wilderness, he wanted to have the luxury of comfort in this world.
'What's the point in risking your life while earning money if you can't even live a comfortable life around it' he thought, he had contemplated about this in his early days in this world a lot.
"Whatever, I'm going to sleep, we have a long day ahead" Hiro said, laying down on the mattress and snapping into sleep.
It was an ability he possessed even in his previous life, he could put himself to sleep on command.
