Doran saw this as a golden opportunity. He wanted to come out of Zyair's shadow and this could be it. So he went to meet Preston to strike a deal with him. He didn't care about the allegations against Preston. Women were merely commodities to be used in his eyes, just because one woman wronged him.

"Thank you for meeting up with me," Doran shook hands with Preston as both settled down in his office for their presumed meeting.

"Don't mention it, Mr Doran," he brushed aside the formality with a gesture of his hand.

"I hope you got a chance to review my proposal," Doran asked, rubbing his chin.
