"I refuse your aid," Ankhur growled, a harsh glare fixed on Elora with sternly furrowed brows. "And I demand you tell me what deal you just made with my daughter." 

"I'm afraid that's between me and her," Elora smiled indifferently. "But I haven't forbidden her from saying anything until I've actually cured you. If she does, however, I won't lift a finger, so you can still put a wrench in our deal if you convince Naeku to tell you." 

Instantly, Ankhur turned to Naeku, still glaring harshly, "Naeku… I won't allow you to suffer in my stead. I demand you tell me what is going on!" 

The young werepanther trembled under her father's glare, but she pursed her lips and remained silent, glaring back at Ankhur, eyes filled with an unbreakable resolve. 

Father and daughter were locked in a contest of wills but, to the older man's frustration, it didn't appear like Naeku was going to budge.
