Fugaku heard the words but remained silent, deep in thought. In the days following Uchiha Natsu's departure, two significant events transpired. Firstly, the Konoha Police Force accidentally caused casualties while maintaining law and order, leading to severe repercussions within Konoha. The entire Uchiha clan faced restrictions imposed by Konoha's high-level officials, with Anbu ninjas periodically monitoring their activities. Tiehuo, accused of being the "murderer," insisted on his innocence, claiming it was merely an accidental altercation that resulted in the death of a troubled resident.
Fugaku, aware of Tiehuo's transformed behavior since the war, found it hard to believe he could commit such an act intentionally. Another incident involved a Uchiha ninja on a mission inadvertently causing the deaths of three villagers from other villages. These villagers, who had received favor from Uchiha Natsu during the war, were killed when the Uchiha team passed through their village on a mission. The team's captain accepted the villagers' hospitality, and that night, the couple and their children died under mysterious circumstances.
Fugaku had not encountered the accused Uchiha ninja involved in the incident but was convinced of the impossibility of such actions. The accused Uchiha girl, known as the murderer, was an orphan who had lost her entire family during the war and would not harm innocent villagers.
The convergence of these two incidents dealt a severe blow to the recently improved reputation of the Uchiha clan. Anbu temporarily took control of the police force, and unless the Uchiha clan could clear their name, severe punishment awaited. Fugaku considered the punishment a minor concern compared to the damage inflicted on Uchiha Natsu's hard-earned reputation for the clan.
Certain that someone was framing the Uchiha clan, likely orchestrated by Konoha's high-level executives, some clan members had been advocating for a coup d'état since the first clan meeting ten days ago. Fugaku had intended to wait for Uchiha Natsu's return and seek his counsel before making a decision. However, with ten days passed and half a month since Uchiha Natsu's mission departure, the situation worsened, and the consequences could become more severe if further delayed.
Uchiha Itachi, seated at the back and wearing an Anbu mask and attire, observed his father's contemplation. Itachi spoke up, emphasizing the impact on both Konoha and the Uchiha if a coup were initiated at this critical time. Despite participating in four clan meetings and expressing varying opinions on the matter of a coup, Uchiha Itachi's stance seemed at odds with the majority.
Fugaku's disappointment with Konoha's high-level executives deepened after the successive incidents. He believed a coup d'etat, as advised by Uchiha Natsu, was the only solution. The absence of a coup, in Fugaku's view, would only lead to the decline and demise of the Uchiha clan, and the timeframe for decisive action was rapidly diminishing.
As Uchiha Itachi expressed his viewpoint, the eyes of the clansmen focused on him, revealing their collective frustration. Itachi, holding significant roles as a Chunin with Sangouyu and a member of Anbu, had become a crucial figure within the Uchiha clan. However, his divergent opinions on the coup created a rift among the clan members.
Tiehuo, one of the accused in the recent incidents, was initially hesitant to speak, but couldn't contain his anger after hearing Itachi's words. He stood up abruptly and questioned Itachi's failure to convey these concerns to Konoha's senior management, highlighting the losses suffered by Uchiha families and the sacrifices made for the war. He demanded an explanation for the attempts to frame and harm the Uchiha clan.
