Mrs. Huo nodded, "Let's go. Oh, remember to come home for dinner tonight."
Just as Jun Mochan was about to refuse, Ye Ranran squeezed his palm.
"Alright."
"I'll make a few of your favorite dishes tonight." Mrs. Huo said, leaving happily with Xu Zi.
Xu Zi looked back at Ye Ranran. Just as she was about to look away, Jun Mochan turned his head and Xu Zi met his deep, dark gaze.
His seemingly bottomless eyes were like a deep abyss. Once they made contact, one's senses would shatter.
Frightened, Xu Zi quickly averted her eyes.
"What were you looking at?"
Jun Mochan withdrew his gaze, wrapping his arm around her shoulder, preventing her from turning her head, "Nothing."
Seeing his silence, Ye Ranran, as always, chose not to ask.
After the check-up, Ye Ranran sat alone on a bench in the hallway, waiting for Jun Mochan.
She didn't understand why he didn't let her accompany him this time. But she decided not to overthink things she didn't understand.
