After he had taken a shower, Tong Yao brought him a cup of warm water, whispered, "Yueyue has not seen you in a few days and kept saying that she missed you at dinner today. If you don't have a surgery tomorrow morning, go to work after she wakes up, ok?"

Upon hearing this, Si Chen nodded and replied in a soft voice, "I don't have surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning. I will leave later."

With those words, he entered Tong Yue's room, gazed affectionately at his sweetly sleeping daughter, tenderly stroked her hair, adjusted her blanket, gave a quick look to his son next door, and then exited the room.
