Chapter 30: Alliance with Dragon Palace
"Both humans and fish-men can give birth to children, so how can there be any distinction between higher and lower races?" Muchen questioned.
"Indeed, there are many different races in this world, but aren't they all the same human beings at the end of the day?" King Neptune pondered.
Humans discriminate against fish people, and fish people are afraid of humans," Muchen continued.
"In the final analysis, it's because of the unknown," Muchen explained.
"The unknown?" King Neptune looked puzzled.
"Yes, the unknown. We don't understand each other. Fishmen have always lived in the deep sea, and the world is vast. It's impossible for us to travel throughout the deep sea," Muchen elaborated.
"So, ultimately, there are still many humans who don't know about fish people," King Neptune realized.
"That's correct. When humans, who have never seen fish-men, are exposed to false information provided by the world government, they will subconsciously believe it," Muchen said.
"False information that portrays fishmen as slaves and monsters," King Neptune added.
"Yes, it's deeply ingrained in their minds and passed down from generation to generation," Muchen continued.
"Furthermore, due to fishmen rarely leaving Fishman Island, and Fishman Island being the only route into the New World besides the Red Earth Continent, many pirates pass through here and commit horrors," Muchen explained.
"This leads most fishmen to generalize that all humans are evil and only rob fishmen," King Neptune understood.
"Exactly. It creates a cycle of mistrust and hostility between the two parties," Muchen concluded.
King Neptune looked intently into Muchen's eyes, recognizing the sincerity in his gaze. Memories of past struggles and conflicts flashed through his mind.
Otohime, Fisher Tiger, Jinbe, the Sun Pirates, the Arlong Pirates, and now Hody Jones. The need for true equality and understanding became more apparent than ever.
Forming an alliance with the man in front of him might just be the key to achieving that.
However, King Neptune couldn't help but wonder about Muchen's true strength. The world government was known to have many powerful individuals, and the three admirals alone were formidable opponents.
With a solemn expression, King Neptune asked, "Why do you want to overthrow the world government?"
Muchen smiled slightly and summoned a white energy ball in his hand. He gently sent it flying, causing the space to crack slightly.
King Neptune was shocked by the display of power. Having been under Whitebeard's protection for a long time, he recognized the similarities to Whitebeard's abilities. The recent news about Whitebeard jr only added to his astonishment.
"Do you mean to say that you are actually Whitebeard jr, with a bounty of five billion berries?" King Neptune asked, his voice trembling.
Muchen nodded, understanding that to gain King Neptune's trust, he had to reveal some of his hidden powers.
Unable to contain his emotions, King Neptune stroked his thick beard thoughtfully. "Hoohohoho~ I never expected this. Having been under Whitebeard's protection before, I never imagined that someone with Whitebeard's power would come forward to help us."
"With your power, I believe we have a chance to truly overthrow the world government," King Neptune declared, agreeing to the alliance.
Muchen had become the savior of Fish-Man Island, and his deep understanding of the island's struggles resonated with King Neptune. He believed that Muchen's presence would bring significant changes to the Dragon Palace Kingdom.
The sheer self-confidence radiating from Muchen deeply influenced King Neptune. With a sense of hope and determination, Neptune decided to take a gamble and entrust the future of his kingdom to Muchen.
"However, I have one condition," King Neptune stated as his expression turned serious.
Muchen's happiness at obtaining King Neptune's agreement was short-lived. He prepared himself to hear King Neptune retract his words.
"I hope that little princess should not be harmed in any way. If you cannot guarantee her safety, then I will have to abolish our agreement," King Neptune firmly demanded, his gaze unwavering.
Muchen smiled, reassurance evident in his eyes. "Unless I cease to exist, no harm will come to your daughter "
"Hoohohoho~" King Neptune chuckled. "Then let us wish each other the best!"
Forming an alliance with the Dragon Palace Kingdom and gaining the power of Poseidon, the King of the Sea, was a significant step forward for Muchen. He could feel his own strength growing, fueled by the support of Fish-Man Island.
As he will absorb the powers of Blackbeard and other formidable individuals, Muchen knew that his time to overthrow the world government is near.
...
In Dressrosa, all those who wished to challenge Muchen gathered.
At the royal city's highest point, Doflamingo lay on a sun lounger, a sinister smile on his face as he swirled a wine glass in his hand.
"Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."
"Any news on Whitebeard jr?" Doflamingo inquired.
"Not yet, hey hey," Trebol, with his runny nose and repulsive appearance, replied respectfully.
"Doflamingo, Admirals Fujitora and Kizaru have arrived, and the Blackbeard Pirates are coming ," Trebol informed.
Doflamingo's grin widened, his sunglasses hiding any trace of emotion.
"Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."
"In that case, the Navy and Blackbeard will clash first, right? Even though they are forbidden from targeting Whitebeard jr, it's still entertaining," Doflamingo remarked.
"hahahaahaha yes yes," Trebol responded with a lecherous smile.
Suddenly, the sky darkened, catching Doflamingo's attention.
"Hey, hey, hey, it seems more trouble is coming," Doflamingo observed.
Swoosh!
Boom!
A massive figure descended from the sky, wielding a colossal mace. The figure stood before Doflamingo, holding a wine bottle and pouring its contents into his mouth.
"Gululu-hiccup~ Clown, where is the brat calling himself Whitebeard jr?" Kaido, the leader of Beasts, glared fiercely at Doflamingo.
Doflamingo immediately stood up, his earlier nonchalant demeanor replaced by respect. He trembled at the sight of Kaido, well aware of his unpredictable temperament.
Kaido had a reputation for executing his subordinates at whim, and as Doflamingo's supplier of artificial Devil Fruits, offending him would spell death, or worse.
"He hasn't appeared yet, and his whereabouts are unknown to everyone," Doflamingo explained hastily.
Kaido swung his mace, creating a crater in the ground, causing Doflamingo to flinch.
Doflamingo quickly continued, "Based on the route from Punk Hazard and the information provided by Caesar, his next destination should be here, but he hasn't shown up."
"Now that he has gained significant fame, he may be hesitant to come here, for fear of his own life," Doflamingo reasoned nervously.
Kaido continued to examine Doflamingo with intense eyes, causing him to break out in a cold sweat. He feared the consequences if Kaido grew displeased.
Suddenly, Kaido sat down, poured himself more wine, and burst into tears.
