Beta Lucas' POV

Just perfect! My food is ruined!

I restrained myself from crying out loud.

'I bet you're happy now.' I snapped at my wolf.

'Oh, please don't care shift the blame on me. You were clearly in love with what you saw... You still are.' He defends himself solidly.

'Well, if you hadn't made it obvious that she's my mate, I just might have focused better.' I don't relent.

This is something that took me roughly an hour plus to put together.

I sighed. How am I supposed to start all over? And worse still, in front of her.

"I should discard it." The words slip out of my lips before I could stop myself.

"Why?" She asks innocently and sweetly.

She turns to look at me. Those rich brown eyes... Jeez! She's so close to me and the effect of that makes me want to wrap her up in my arms and provide her with both warmth and security for eternity.
