My eyelids flicker countless times. Lazily, I open my eyes halfway to take all that's before me. The sculpture of an ancient goddess, a sword that's safe in its scabbard, the scattered wardrobe...

It dawns, I'm in the pack house and in my private chambers. I place my hand on my head, nursing the pain like I'm having a hangover from excessive consumption of the strongest booze when I didn't as much as take a sip.

I'm on my bed, the last I remember, I was battling for my life, sprayed on the floor and helpless. I touch my stomach, to inspect it, but the pain has subsided, not as killing as it was before I passed out.

But how did I get here? In haste, I sit up, eager to know all that transfixed while I was knocked out, especially who it is that saved me.

I turn to the other side and surprisingly see Sasha sitting on the floor, her head leaning on my mattress. Did she... Oh wow.
