As per Akihiro's order, a barren uninhabited island was pulled over by Shiki for a battle between Luffy and Sakazuki. The air was thick with tension as Luffy, adorned with the incredible power of Gear 5, faced off against Akainu, the Fleet Admiral. The match was supposed to either end in 24 hours or it will be called a draw and the they will talk about the spot later if Akainu thinks that Luffy is strong enough.
(A/N because I'm the author now lol - The time limit is set here because within 48 hours of this match beginning, the Tournament will be held.)
Akainu, his magma-clad body radiating intense heat, stood unyielding. His eyes, filled with a cold, calculating intensity, bore into Luffy, who bounced gleefully on a cloud, his rubber body contorting into impossible shapes.
In the air, a little far away from the island, all the available S-Rank and above combat strength was watching this match including Akihiro himself and this match was being broadcasted all over the World Government's territory as a show of power through projection Den Den Mushi.
This was done in order to deter the shinobi forces and gain some reputation points to draw another Top-Level Recruitment Order. Also, he has gotten a mission to take over the whole world as his territory which will allow him to gain a mysterious reward.
"Let's finish this, Monkey D. Luffy," Akainu growled, his voice a rumble that shook the ground. "Your childish antics have gone on long enough."
Luffy, unfazed, grinned widely. "Oh, I'm just getting warmed up, Akainu! I'll teach you a lesson that you'll always remember, hahahaha!"
With a flick of his wrist, Luffy launched himself at Akainu, his body stretching and twisting into a giant, rubbery fist. Akainu, however, was prepared. He raised his magma-clad fist and met Luffy's blow head-on. The resulting explosion sent shockwaves rippling through the island, uprooting many trees.
Luffy, undeterred, continued his assault, his attacks becoming increasingly erratic and unpredictable. He bounced off trees, slid under Akainu's attacks, and even managed to turn his body into a giant rubber band, stretching and snapping back at Akainu with incredible force.
Akainu, however, was no ordinary opponent. His magma-based attacks were devastating, capable of melting even the toughest materials. He unleashed a torrent of molten lava, engulfing Luffy in a fiery inferno. Luffy, however, simply laughed and stretched his body to avoid the attacks.
The battle raged on for hours, each fighter pushing the other to their limits. Luffy's Gear 5 form allowed him to perform incredible feats of strength and agility, while Akainu's magma-based attacks were a constant threat.
The fight continued on for hours which shocked every shinobi, let alone the civilians, especially the ones in the Holy Land Mariejois and the Sky Island, who were extremely surprised to see that there were humans who could fight like that, for so long, at this intensity and still look like they weren't exhausted.
As the twenty four hour period ended, Akihiro orderd to end the fight which resulted in a draw. When the match ended, both Luffy and Akainu were called in front of Akihiro on live broadcast.
Akainu saluted Akihiro and Luffy tried to imitate him but looked very clumsy. Sengoku and Aokiji came and whispered in his ears that they were live and that he has to behave himself.
Akihiro stepped forward and commended both parties for a well fought match and then asked Akainu, "So Fleet Admiral Sakazuki, what do you think of Luffy's strength? Is he good enough to participate?"
