"Goodness." Isabelle muttered. "That's..."
Phoenix smiled at her. "It's a bit overwhelming, isn't it?"
They stood in the ballroom of the Imperial palace. It was a large room, with a high ceiling and many windows. It was filled with tables and chairs, with people milling about in various states of inebriation.
There were waiters serving food, musicians playing and people dancing in the middle of the room, all while others were chatting and drinking at their tables. The atmosphere was lively and happy.
Isabelle was dressed in an elaborate gown, and she had her hair done up in a fancy braid.
It was the day after the official coronation anniversary, and the wedding celebrations had begun. As had been suggested, there would be no focus on her other husbands. Not yet, at least.
They absolutely would after the wedding festivities, however.
She wasn't about to miss the opportunity to give them their own celebration.
