She woke to the sound of the door opening.
King Luther looked down at her on her bed.
She would have screamed if Tenshi didn't appear a moment before, his blade at the king's neck. "Do not approach further."
The king lifted his hands in a sign of submission. "I mean your queen no harm. If you'll allow me to speak, ruler to ruler?"
She blinked, struggling to calm down her racing heart.
But she did sit up finally, brushing her hair from her face.
"Mmh. I'm listening."
She glanced over his shoulder. Octavian was still asleep, so this must have had something to do with Caoimhe...?
"I am not accompanied by the princess." He said. "Nor my guard. Will you join me in the other room for a conversation? I don't know how long this window of conversation will last."
She bit her lip, looking up at him.
