It didn't take them long to finish packing up the coach, and load up the horses.
Isabelle frowned, looking back toward the manor. In the distance, she could see the column of smoke that the servant warned of.
Jazara bowed low to her, which, oddly, was more reassuring than she'd expected it would be. "Please, return home once your business is finished..."
Isabelle tilted her head. "Will you...be safe...?" She found herself asking, half suspicious but...still. It didn't feel right not to be concerned, no matter how little she liked the woman.
The woman offered a casual wave of her hand, dismissing her worries easily. "We won't be so easily uprooted, I assure you." She said pleasantly, before flashing her a cunning little smile. "Thank you for your concern."
She sighed as they departed, leaving behind the manor as the carriage moved down the cobblestone path.
