According to the medics, some of them would scar, but she didn't care about that.
Him being alive was far more important to her than unblemished.
She cuddled up to him, nuzzling his shoulder with her cheek, and smiled softly, watching his pretty face finally free from pain. "How does it feel to be back in a real bed?"
"Delightful." He sighed happily, eyes half lidded as he relaxed in the massive bed. "I'm afraid there can be no comparison between this bed and the one in the infirmary."
"Oh?" She smiled faintly. "Is it so much nicer?"
He hummed, and reached up to gently stroke her face. "The company and privacy contribute to it greatly.
