Phoenix arrived carrying a tray loaded up with plates and cups of fresh hot drinks, along with various sweets. She snapped to alertness again, eyeing the food eagerly. From the look of it, he anticipated them to have extra company, as the portion sizes were not skimpy at all.

The older man chuckled, setting down the tray onto a table near them and approaching.

The cat on her lap perked his head up as the smell of food drifted into his nose.

The blonde man knelt in front of her and held out his hands expectantly toward the kitten. "Are you hungry, Snowball? Here you are, come and eat."

Snowball practically launched himself off of her body and into his father's arms. He scrambled into Phoenix's waiting hands, settling himself there, and purring loudly.
