Although Lyov was simply reading one of his stories when she wandered into his room - or rather, the study in her room he enjoyed most - the temperature in the room dropped.

"Your majesty. To what do I owe this honor?" He set his book down, and the tension in his jaw and shoulders eased somewhat, but not nearly as much as she might like.

Ugh. I've not deserved him at all!

She immediately rushed over and fell onto her knees before him with a loud thump. "Lyov!" She cried out pitifully as she prostrated herself on the carpet floor before him in penance, burying her face into the palm of her hands shamefully. "Forgive me for upsetting you!"

Lyov's eyes go wide, and he immediately grabbed her shoulders, wrenching her up. "Wh-what the hell are you doing?!" His face was red, brows knit. "That...that's highly inappropriate, Your Majesty! Please, I'm only a knight."

His ears were flaming red.
