Thirty minutes later, at the Misty Spoon Tea House.
William Cole sat across from Granny Snake, with Green Dragon standing behind him, while the Green and White Snake Envoys stood behind Granny Snake.
The Green Snake Envoy curiously surveyed William Cole, her face showing a coldness uncharacteristic of her age.
The White Snake Envoy glowered at William Cole: "Did you really eat my snakes?"
"I didn't have time to eat while I was out, but I'm sure someone is making snake powder." replied William Cole with a casual smile.
"You're insufferable!"
The White Snake Envoy's eyes turned red. She had nurtured these snakes for many years, and they were all obliterated by William Cole in one fell swoop.
William Cole chuckled, choosing not to argue with her, and turned to Granny Snake: "Does Granny Snake have something to say to me?"
Granny Snake faintly smiled, "You're a smart man, William Cole. You wouldn't have trouble guessing what I want to say, right?"
