The WAA extermination party entered the guardian room with a resolute expression.

However, when Walter's golden orb exploded and lit up the entire room, the hearts of the more faint-hearted members, such as Freeze, Walter, and Mira, began to falter.

In front of them was a monster that had slain many of their guildmates, including a few of the seniors they respected.

It was only an (S-) ranked creature, yet, it struck fear in the hearts of even the highest-ranked of adventurers.

"A-Abyssal Drake!" Freeze exclaimed, evidently shaken.

The sole reason why the Abyssal Drake was only classified as an (S-) ranked creature was because the average attributes of their species were short of a few points to make it to the ranks of (S) class monsters.

This was mainly due to its underwhelmingly low wisdom and agility attributes, though, in reality, they were just as fast as most (S-) and (S) ranked creatures if not faster because of their abyssal wings.
