"Pei! Pei!" Atasha spat out, her lips curling in distaste. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, her eyes flashing with the same fiery passion that was urging her to smack him right across his face. 

"Why on earth would you grab my lips like that, Howl? Have you completely lost your mind?" she demanded, her voice echoing with a tone of resentment that was hard to miss.

Caught off guard by her sudden outburst, Howl froze under her intense gaze. He quickly racked his brain for a plausible defense.

 "I just didn't want you to cry anymore and hurt your throat. It seemed to work. You stopped crying," answered Howl blatantly, presenting his explanation as if it was some groundbreaking revelation that only he could have possibly come up with.

Atasha's eyebrows shot up in disbelief. "What kind of nonsense is that again, Howl?" she retorted, her forehead creasing into a deep frown with a tinge of helplessness in her tone.
