Nazmi looked into his eyes, a hollow ache in her chest. The way he looked at her had started to carry less animosity in it over the last few weeks. At first, she thought it was all in her head. That she was just lonely and that she was wishing something into existence that wasn't really there…

"You…" Nazmi started speaking and then stopped. She wasn't really sure what she wanted to say, and her mouth had ran ahead of her thoughts. Samir referring to her as his pet was nothing new but, for some reason, this time it stung a little. She… didn't want to be just a pet anymore. The nymph was longing for a companionship where she would be his equal.

It was wonderful becoming close to Caelus and Ada, she had never had proper friends before… and unlike the twin sorcerers, Nazmi was certain that the two of them would never hurt her on purpose. Somehow, though, their friendship was only fulfilling to a certain extent.
