"While filming the movie, we had a surprising encounter. Wei Changhui, known as the Ghost Tiger, secretly observed our filming alongside Jodie Foster. He used his ghostly abilities to watch without being noticed. This Ghost Tiger is no ordinary spirit; he's cautious and aware of my intentions to trap him through the movie."
In the movie's world, Christian continued explaining to Charlize and Alexis, "The reason he fell into my trap isn't due to their immense power but because they're inconspicuous and scattered, making them hard to detect."
"What's the bottom line? Neglecting the movie might get you in trouble?" Alexis, less accustomed to Christian's mystical style, asked.
"Certainly, that's one conclusion," Christian replied, unfazed by Alexis's sarcasm. "The main point, however, is that my traps aren't particularly powerful."
"Not powerful!?" Alexis questioned, recalling the fiery display moments earlier, a hint of concern on his face.
"Comparatively," Christian added, "For a mandrill-turned-mountain god, the damage from such flames is bearable. The damage to the body is greater than to consciousness, and this world is one of consciousness."
Christian continued, "The magic of painting was created to seal various monsters. It requires creating a mural, deriving a world from it, and then sealing the intended monster inside, preventing it from escaping."
"If it's a mural-based seal, it lasts for thousands of years, and the trapped monster can't free itself. I use movies to cast spells now. While more sophisticated than murals, the spells exist only during screenings. Even in a lengthy film, like The Seal's existence won't exceed 200 minutes."
"So he only needs to wait it out?" Charlize finally grasped the situation after spending time with Christian.
'Exactly" Christian affirmed.
"My painted ground is a temporary prison. The cinnabar flames can burn the Mandrill, but it takes seven to seventy-nine days. He knows this too and prefers waiting to unleash his real body on me, causing trouble. He just needs a few minutes, and he can overwhelm us with hundreds of ghosts."
"What's our plan?" Charlize was anxious, having seen Guihu's true terror.
Christian understood her concern and clarified, "Our only chance is in those few minutes. In the hidden scenes we shot for 'Wrong Turn' Alexis, I portrayed you as a ghost even more terrifying than the mutant weirdos. These mutants represent the Ghost Tiger, so when the audience sees you, they'll naturally transfer their fear to you."
"As I mentioned, our real chance to defeat him lies in seizing his power."
"Relying on me?" Alexis seemed incredulous, pointing at himself.
"There's nothing for you to do," Christian admitted with a wry smile. "We've done what we needed during filming. Now, it depends on the quality of our film and whether it can captivate the audience, convincing them to transfer their fear to Alexis.'
'WTF!!!!!???'"
As the central figure, Alexis was left stunned by the revelation, but Charlize couldn't help but burst into laughter after listening for a while.
"The movie's life depends on its quality, and if it's not well-made, it might become a feast for the monsters. That's the life of a true filmmaker"
"I truly admire you" Charlize offered her admiration, and the robust blonde man earned her respect.
While Alexis and Charlize were immersed in their inner world, the first and second audiences in the cinema had seemingly embarked on two entirely different cinematic journeys.
For first-time viewers, the protagonists and their group were relentlessly pursued by horrifying mutant monsters after escaping the cabin, delivering thrilling scenes worth the ticket price.
For the second-time viewers, it wasn't just about the value for money. Despite the addition of just one scene involving the ghost possessing the heroine, the later storyline took a wholly distinct and somewhat sinister interpretation. What initially appeared as the director's attempt to add allure to the heroine now seemed to be filled with hidden motives.
"This guy wants to annihilate them all" Emily's blunt assessment couldn't have been more accurate, even leaving Jodie momentarily at a loss for a better description.
"But there's only one extra shot, and it completely transforms the entire story" Jodie, in awe of Christian's clever tactic, leaned forward in excitement and anticipation, eager to witness the heroine possessed by the ghost's actions.
"It turns out that the fire below wasn't set by those mutant weirdos at all" At the moment when the trio found themselves trapped on the observation deck, the female ghost detached from the heroine and swiftly ignited the flames from below.
"No wonder it seemed odd the last time I watched it; now it all makes sense" Emily finally grasped the puzzle she had found puzzling before. On the other side, Jodie Foster marveled at Charlize's acting skills.
"She appeared here before as if it was an error or shock, but it turns out the possessed ghost can temporarily detach."
There's something about this 'Wrong Turn' that makes it incredibly unique. Jodie Foster, the investor, found herself inexplicably re-engaged.
